Incarceration Reform

By Kiarra D. Lucas

Singer and activist John Legend

“WE PUT SO MANY BARRIERS IN THE WAY OF THAT HAPPENING IN THE NAME OF CONTINUING TO PUNISH PEOPLE AFTER THEY ALREADY PAID THEIR DEBT TO SOCIETY,” ~ John Legend

John Legend is not only a talented singer, but he is also a strong leader in advocacy. Home/Free is a documentary that follows the journey of three previously incarcerated men in search of job opportunities. John Legend narrated this documentary to bring awareness to the struggles of re-entry and how anyone can help improve the re-entry process. John Legend now works with many different organizations to create a path to successful re-entry for those formally incarcerated.

*Home/Free is available for free streaming on Amazon Prime.
